I'm baaaaack!!!

Hiya Hotties! I am officially back from New York. This year was the first year that I was not completely in awe of NYC, and it made me a little sad. You know what I’m taking about. That rush of excitement in Times Square, that thrill of being in the city that never sleeps, that fascination and admiration of New York City. And I didn’t get that this year. It was just like I was there. And I hate that! I absolutely hate it. So, I think I may have to take a couple of years off and then go back. It’s only fair to the city. It deserves that from me. Because it’s my favorite in the whole world. Oh, and as far as celebs I saw and got obsessed with?? Tim Daly (of Wings and Eyes), David Schwimmer (Friends), Bradley Cooper (Kitchen Confidential, Alias and Wedding Crashers), Paul Rudd (lots of stuff), and I was in the airport with Bill Ranic of the Apprentice! ***umm, quite embarrassing conversation with Bradley Cooper that I’m not quite yet ready to spill – it still makes my face red. I am really such a nerd, and actually the first time I approached an actual celebrity in conversation (and after a few drinks) – stupid, stupid, stupid**

Okay, but you really don’t care about all that. Okay, so the Stationery Show. It was ok. Not fabulous, not bad, but ok. We picked up some very good stores that I think will be very good customers. (You can always tell) We were not yet in New Hampshire and Montana, and we picked up stores there, which is cool. The thing about the National Stationery Show being in NYC is that the majority of buyers are northern stores. People always ask me why we aren’t in stores locally. And the answer to that is that the majority of stores I sell to are the ones at tradeshows. Which typically are not those in Knoxville or Nashville, TN. Sure, some. But with competition of over 7,000 exhibitors, there is an likely chance that they may not make it to my booth. All in all, I am glad I went. It’s always good to see the new thing out there. New trends, new fabulousness. Plus I walked through the licensing side this year as well, which I have never done. That just might be on the horizon with HHD. Ya never know.

Okay, now what you REALLY care about. Who knew the week that I was gone that so much would freaking happen in the gossip world??

• Bragelina had their baby!!! I couldn’t believe it happened so fast. Who knew? Congrats to them. Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. I'm sures she will be beautiful. People voted the parents the Most Beautiful People for a reason. 'Angie & Baby Are Fantastic'
• Gwen Stefani also popped one out! She and hottie Gavin Rossdale had a boy Kingston James McGregor Rossdale. It's a Boy for Gwen Stefani
• Chad Lowe and Hilary Swank are finally calling it quits. Boo for them. Although, seriously, everyone should know to thank you spouse when you win. It's all downhill from there. (think Brad and Jen) Chad Lowe, Hilary Swank divorcing
• Jude Law and Sienna Miller are together again? What is this? See what happens when I'm gone? It all goes to hell! Jude, Sienna cozy up again
• And Kirstin Cavallari (Laguna Beach) to replace Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke in the Dukes sequel? What? There will be a sequel? Why in God's name, why? Kristin is replacing Jess? Why? And she can actually act? Again, refer to comment above. Kristin - The next Daisy Duke?

We're off to The National Stationery Show in New York! And don't you worry. My hottie eyes will be peeled for any fabu celeb sightings. (and we'll try to sell some stationery while we're there too.)

Probably not true, but how fabulously ironic would it be!

Katie Holmes is reportedly exhausted and "constantly in tears" since giving birth to daughter Suri - sparking speculation she could have the baby blues.

Friends say the actress breaks down and cries and seems "emotional and very tired" according to Britain's The Sun newspaper. Katie, who gave birth last month, has also been spotted looking tearful at the Beverly Hills mansion she shares with her actor fiancé Tom Cruise.

Last year Cruise slammed Brooke Shields for taking anti-depressants for post-natal depression. One friend told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Katie told pals it's natural for new mums to experience strong emotions."

Sure. I get that they're a trend. But they are U-G-L -Y. They don't got no alibi!

The art of photography

A few camera pointers from the Hi-Heeled Hotties:

• 1. Take off your sunglasses when a picture is taken
• 2. If you do decide to wear your sunglasses in pictures, go for a smaller frame. Even though Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton look fantastic and un-weird in oversize, gigantic frames, do not necessarily assume that you will also. They are celebrities for a reason. You are not.
• 3. When you have a full, halter, backless pattern dress on (which you think is fabulous by the way) please do not stand front, forward and center in pictures. Instead, turn to the side. Just b/c you feel fabulous and think you look fabulous while doing so, does not mean that when pictures come back, you will actually look fabulous. Just the opposite in fact. Sometimes you might look like a gorilla in the mist.
• 4. Place someone in charge of the camera once you believe you have had one too many. Some of the pictures that might come back once developed are downright silly and sometimes scary.
• 5. If you have others taking your pictures, please place that trust in the hands of a women. Men do not always get your flattering angle. Sure, we can refer to number 3., but some of those might not be the subject's fault.

Eva Longoria tops Maxim's seventh annual "Hot 100" list of the most successful women in film, TV, music, sports and fashion for the second year in a row. Congrats!

The Hilton's burglarized Mother's Day

Sending your mom a collection of Christian Dior products for Mother's Day -- hot.

Having it stolen off of her front door -- not hot.

Paris sent her mom, Kathy, an expensive collection of items from Christian Dior -- which included shoes, purses, sunglasses and perfumes -- running nearly $10,000. According to reps for Hilton, "A delivery person from Christian Dior delivered the items to the residence, and set the package down on the sidewalk while trying to work the intercom system. At this point, a person came along and grabbed the items."

The Hiltons spent Mother's Day at the trendy restaurant the Ivy. Photogs asked Paris about the incident and she confirmed it: "Yeah, someone stole it." source

Nicole Kidman FINALLY admits engagement

In New York City on Saturday, Nicole Kidman hosted the 30th Anniversary gala for the organization UNIFEM. Her date? Keith Urban, who she admitted is not just her boyfriend. "He's actually my fiancé," Kidman exclusively told PEOPLE on Monday. "I wouldn't be bringing my boyfriend."

The confirmation of the engagement ends months of speculation about the couple, who were first spotted together in July 2005. In November, Kidman was photographed wearing a ring on her wedding finger while walking arm-in-arm with Urban in Boston. OMG! Sooooo fun. Lovely time was had by all. I post pics as soon as I get them back - which will be tomorrow!! It was honestly so much fun. We had a huge crew with us, about 20 or so. We drank (started a bit early for me, but who am I to judge? Pass the beer!) watched horse races, bet on horse races. (Don't get me started. Once Mandy starts drinking, she throws money around like she has it to throw). Anyone close that can come next year, I highly recommend that you do! Cheers!

This is pretty funny. For those who happened to catch Lindsay's interview with Matt Lauer on the Today Show, some might have said she was a bit off. She seemed exhausted and was sniffing alot. (You can watch the video here) Well, photos have since surfaced of Ms. Lohan making out with model James Burke, and they show her in the SAME clothes she wore on TV Monday morning. What does that mean my oh so smart hotties? Well, one would assume that she had not yet been to bed. HeHe!! And she is only 20 years old! Whew, when that girl turns 21 all I have to say is.................. "party".

NEW YORK - Ashlee Simpson is laughing off rumors that she had a nose job — but she's not denying it either. Recent photos splashed across the Internet and in tabloids suggest the multiplatinum singer has made an alteration to her profile, removing the bump that made her nose distinctive.

When asked about the speculation during a phone interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday, Simpson giggled and said: "Everybody's already saying it, so I just don't talk about it. I'm like, OK, whatever. It doesn't bother me."

But when asked whether the rumor was true, the 21-year-old singer didn't confirm or deny it, but just giggled more. "Maybe — who knows!"

Now, this is no Risky Business dancing mind you. This is when granddad tries to come out on the dance floor at your wedding and tries to use use move the "young kids" use. Oh Tom, you have made my day. No wait, my week! This is hands down the funniest thing I have ever seen. A video like this should make me pity you and feel sorry for you. But, ya know what? It looks like McDonalds may become the next Starbucks with a side of cheeseburger. Interesting, no? Good luck keeping it clean. Those little ketchup packets can get messy.

After 30 years without a major design overhaul, the 51-year-old fast-food giant is adopting a hip new look. McDonalds is redesigning its 30,000 eateries around the globe in a 21st century makeover of unprecedented scale.

But as more upscale items like Asian chicken salad show up on its menu, the chain's typical starkly lit, plastic-heavy look is at odds with the contemporary, welcoming image the company wants to present. "McDonald's promises to be a 'forever young' brand," says John Miologos, vice-president of worldwide architecture, design, and construction at McDonald's Corp. "We have to deliver on that promise." Veronica Mars rocks!

Okay, so I Tivo-ed it on Tuesday b/c I was out shoe shopping. (what? moi??) So, I didn't get a change to watch it until last night. And I will also say that I was a very good girl and did not get on any sites yesterday to find out what happened. And that was hard as hell!! But, I will say that I am v. glad I did.

For those who do not watch this show, I beg on you. Go get 1st season's DVD (and hopefully soon season 2) . Watch it. Catch up. Be prepared for season 3. It will be so good!!

All in all, I thought the episode rocked. Loved the bus crash twist. Did not see that one coming. I thought they shouldn't have tied up so many loose ends all in one eposide. It kind of got Scooby Dooish. And I wanted the cliff hanger at the end to leave me speechless like last season (who was at the door??) but, alas, it didn't. Fab episode though. Fab season. Veronica Mars is one fabulous hottie.

Britney is definitely preggo

Looks like Britney for sure is pregnant. Great. Good to know how frigging potent K-Fed sperm really is. How many kids is that now? 10? 20?

Britney Spears is expecting her second child, she told David Letterman during asurprise visit to his Late Show on Tuesday. "Don't worry, Dave, it's not yours," the singer joked.

"Oh. Well, I think that's good news for both of us," Letterman responded.

Spears, who walked out onstage unannounced after a commercial break (and then read off the evening's Top 10 List), gave no details about herself, including her due date. She also never mentioned her husband, Kevin Federline – though earlier in the program Letterman and bandleader Paul Shaffer made a wisecrack about him.

"I think that K-Fed is, you know, would have to be getting awful busy at a quick rate," to be expecting another child, said Shaffer.

"Well, what else does he have to do?" Letterman quipped.

After Spears came out, she said of their banter: "I liked the whole prep. It was cool I think you did a very good job."

"So, we've established now that you are, in fact, pregnant, is that right?" asked Letterman.
"Yes sir," Spears replied.

Spears’s appearance was a last-minute arrangment that came about after the singer’s rep called and "said (Britney) wanted to be on the show and this is what she'd announce," a Late Show insider told PEOPLE. "We were psyched." source

So, I have been a member for 6 years, 6 months and I have purchased over 375 items. Does that mean I have a problem? Has it even been around that long? 6 years? Seriously?

Seriously, how is it Tuesday already? The National Stationery Show is 11 days away, and for some reason I think there is nothing left to do. Ha! I think if I put my notes binder at the bottom of my purse, then my "to-do" list will just disappear, right? Ya know, kind of like Becky Bloomwood did with her credit card bills. Just throw them away and that means you never received them. Then it would be your fault, right? Right. Good ole Becky Bloomwood. Love her. (*ahem, Confessions of a Shopaholic * ahem)

My Ebay dress came yesterday, and wouldn't you know it? It fits perfectly and is absolutely fabulous! I mean, how effing fabulous is ebay? Now we must work on shoes, jewelry and bra. Dress is a halter, so that will take some figuring. Not J.Lo's Versace per se, but it's pretty low.

And I have not yet begun on Stationery Show attire! Must plan outfits this weekend. Cheers!

Birkhead, who lives in California and writes for USA Today, met Texas-born Anna three years ago at the Kentucky Derby's Barnstable-Brown Derby Eve Gala, and the pair began dating about a year later.

Star Jones leaving the View!

ABC will announce the departure of Star Jones from The View this week, according to the New York Post, at the insistence of new co-host, Rosie O'Donnell.

"It was always Rosie's condition of joining the show, and Barbara [Walters] agreed to those conditions from the outset," their source said. The Post says the network and Jones are now concocting a face-saving scenario which has Jones pursuing new projects. Jones' reps said, "It's 100 percent not true." However, rumor has it Oprah Winfrey's best friend, Gayle King, may be in line to take over Jones' chair. source

Veronica Mars News!!!!

"Don't worry. It's coming back." Those are the exact same words I heard this week from an inside source regarding Veronica Mars. And she was quoting the exact same words of someone I think you'll take seriously: CW chief Dawn Ostroff.

Okay, it might be a tad premature, since the telephone game can be unreliable and no one will know for sure until the CW's schedule is announced on May 18. But I, for one, am choosing to believe our favorite spunky detective will be saved. And I am not alone.

"I believe we're going to be back," VM executive producer Rob Thomas tells me. "Everyone knows I put a $4,000 shower in my office, but I also kept the Veronica Mars writers an extra three weeks, and we actually have episodes one, two and three broken for next year. I'm that confident we'll be back, and we need to hit the ground running next year."

And run he will. Rob has big plans for season three. "We're going to do away with the season-long mystery and, instead, go with three long mysteries. Our first mystery would be eight episodes long, and the nice thing about it is that we give the audience more jumping-in points."

In episode 16, the first mystery will introduce the rapist, who shaves women's heads, which Thomas says "allows us to keep some characters we've grown to love on the show."

Speaking of, Rob says he already knows which actors will--or, gulp, won't--be back next year. "The cast members who are series regulars this year but aren't next year knew from day one," he says. "So, that hasn't changed. The only thing that may change is that we really want to make Tina Majorino [Mac] a series regular. We just adore her, and we're already planning episodes with her. We're going to try to make that happen, and if we don't, it's just because we don't have the money, because we love her." Can I get an amen, my Mac-lovin' brothers?

Be sure to watch the season finale on TUESDAY!!! Rob reveals: "Veronica graduates. You find out for certain who sent the bus off the cliff. We see Lily Kane in this episode--we actually have an extended dream where Veronica dreams about graduation day had Lily been alive--and private detective Vinnie Vanlowe makes an appearance, as do Veronica's mom and Wallace's mom. We had a huge cast for it."

And...a huge twist. "We do have another cliffhanger at the end," Rob admits. "But, as I promised fans, we do tie up everything from season two. The cliffhanger is something that launches us into season three. It's not a romantic cliffhanger. It's more of a wha?! cliffhanger."

Reese Witherspoon was out with her son Deacon, 2, watching her daughter Ava, 6, play soccer this past Saturday. I heard yesterday on the radio that her and her husband Ryan Phillippe are having marital problems. They were overheard literally screaming at each other in a restaurant and left very angry. Eeep!!I would seriously go into a coma should something happen between them.

Steeplechase is almost here. Hurrah!

Steeplechase is next weekend and I could not be more excited. Steeplechase is Nashville's version of the Kentucky Derby. It's huge and there are like 40 races or something. It's such a fabulous party. Floral dresses? check. Huge hats? check. Drinking all day? check.

Now, I finally bought a dress today. It's fabulous and a brown and white floral. I decided to Ebay it instead of buying it locally. I should not want to have a "dress twin" at Steeplechase. For those that have read my blog for a while, you know my horrid "dress twin" story. But, the good thing about Steeplechase is that is I should have a dress twin, by the time I notice her, hopefully I will be too drunk to care. Cheers!

But you know I have to try and just stay focused on my kids and forget that part of it- as difficult as it is- and just focus on my children and getting through this, this really bad time.”
